CEASRA: THE CITIZENS’ ENVIRONMENTAL ASSOCIATION OF THE SLIPPERY ROCK AREA

Protecting habitat | water | air | health

On Friday July 29th 2022, CEASRA will be hosting a program updating

the Tri-County Landfill permit plans to bring radioactive fracking waste

into Grove City.

Open to the public, the program will include speakers from other

towns in Pennsylvania who have already experienced the impacts of

radioactive waste in their communities.

The presentation will also include the DEP evidence of Vogel Holding,

Inc dumping radioactive leachate from their Seneca Landfill into the

Connoquenessing Creek. In the permit application TCL stated that its

leachate will be just like the Seneca Landfill leachate.

The program on Friday evening, July 29th is open to the public and

all are welcome. It will be held in the Grove City Borough Building,

123 West Main Street, Grove City, PA 16127 at 7:00 pm. Free parking is

We believe the local communities need an organization like CEASRA. Here are a few reasons why:

  • Local, regional, state and federal governmental agencies are not always required to be advocates for the communities they serve.

  • Governmental agencies only know what is presented or reported to them.

  • Businesses may or may not be good environmental stewards.

  • Businesses can repeatedly violate laws and still be allowed to operate.

  • Community members need and deserve an un-biased information source for environmental issues.

  • Community members need a strong unified voice with elected officials and governmental agencies
